I’m Diamond, Founder and Lead Coach at The Rich Career

I’ll tell you a little about my official qualifications in a bit. But first, I want to talk about why I do this. Years at private educational institutions and in the technology industry has shown me that, despite what companies say about everyone having a fair shot at desirable roles, there is a background that sets you apart. It looks something like this: well-known private high school, Ivy League college, top-tier banking or consulting experience, tech company of choice. It’s easy to feel like that if you did not win the birth lottery, you can’t break into this world. However, by working smart and leveraging knowledge from people who have traveled this road, you can do it! I went to a public high school, was raised by a single mom, went to a regional college and still made my way into top-tier companies and graduate schools.

Here is a little about me:

  • Magna cum laude graduate from Baylor University, where I studied journalism and business, and was also an All-American track and field athlete

  • Launched my career as a fintech marketer at Allstate and then NerdWallet

  • MBA from Harvard Business School

  • MBA internship at Bain (with return offer)

  • Director and General Manager at REX, a series-C real estate tech startup

  • Currently working my 9-5 in Revenue Strategy and Operations at Google

Along the way, I’ve interviewed for many roles and applied for admission to many grad schools. I’ve landed job offers from Google, Bain, LinkedIn, DoorDash, SurveyMonkey and Atlasssian. I’ve been admitted to Harvard, Berkeley, MIT, Northwestern and UT Austin for my MBA. I did not have a back door in. There was only the front door for me — but you can crack it through the front door. And I look forward to helping you do just that!
